Congratulations to each of the winners in our final Bragging Rights Photography Competition for the year 2015.  There were several previous winning images to chose from.

Our first place winner is Dale Curtin for his image entitled “Are We Done Yet?”.  Dale is from Rochester, Minnesota, USA. Congratulations Dale.

Our second place winner is Sarah Norris for her image entitled “The Road Less Travelled.”  Sarah is from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Canada.  Congratulations Sarah.

Our third place winner is Donna MacNeil for her image entitled “Through the Open Door.”  Donna is from Enfield, Nova Scotia, Canada.  Congratulations Donna.

Jim and I have had a lot of fun with the Bragging Rights Photography Competition and we have learned a great deal.  Not only have we enjoyed all the images but we have also been fortunate to make several new friends as a result of the competition.

When we first came up with the idea to create a monthly competition, it was our goal to provide a place for photographers of all skill levels to just have some fun with photography – a place where people could feel comfortable entering their images and see what other photographers were doing as well.  We wanted people to just get out and take photographs and not be distracted by prizes – the pressure to win.  We hope that you enjoyed the competition and were inspired to look at things in a new way.  If you would like to share with us your experience during the competition please leave us a comment.  We would love to hear from you.

We would like to thank everyone who registered, entered images and voted.  We had a lot of people who also helped out by sharing Facebook posts and spreading the word.

Also, a special thank you goes out to Janice Guinan who regularly posted information about the competition on the Maritime Art List and she also wrote a wonderful article about the competition for the local newspaper.  We are very lucky to have such a wonderful friend and cheerleader.

Once again, congratulations to each of winners in the 2015 Bragging Rights Photography Competition.

Until next time, keep taking photographs and have fun.

  1. Thank you Jim and Judy for so expertly running this competition. It was the first time I have ever entered any kind of photo competition and I was ecstatic to lay claim on several occasions to ‘bragging rights’. I enjoyed every month’s theme and learned a lot during the course of the contest. This gave me the encouragement to subsequently enter another competition. Kudos to all who entered and voted and also won the ‘right to brag’. Jim and Judy.. keep up your wonderful support to fledgling photographers like myself and keep inspiring us with your own amazing photography!
