This image is entitled “Tim’s Tree Line”. The original photograph was taken at the Tim Horton Children’s Camp in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia.
I have driven by this location several times and noticed these trees off in the distance. I kept meaning to stop and take a photograph but there was always a reason that I could not stop – I did not have my camera with me or I did not have enough time.
This Spring, I set out with my camera to find just the right perspective. I wanted to photograph the trees without any leaves and to make them stand out on their own.
Once I got home, I took my image into Lightroom, did my basic adjustments and then went into PhotoShop and used the plugin Topaz Impression. I like the soft feel in this image and the lines – it feels alive.
I am a big fan of the Tim Horton Children’s Camp Programs. Jim and I have volunteered at our local Tim Hortons during Camp Day. We set up a photo booth and took photographs for customers who came in that day. Once we processed the images, we sent everyone a copy via email. It was a fun event and we hope to do it again.
I believe the camp programs, through the Tim Horton Children’s Foundation, are a wonderful opportunity for children and Jim and I are happy to help if we can.
